OK, I confess I don’t have a twin sister, but it’s amazing I sat in that photo being the ridiculous size I WAS!

That was until I arrived in Australia and met my personal trainer. I got into exercise and although sometimes felt like I was dying, 40 kilos, 1 boot-camp, 1 commitment, 6 fun runs & 4 triathlons later, it’s now my turn! I am inspired and couldn’t have done it without Prestige, my life has turned around and I feel FANTASTIC!! The best feeling was visiting back home and shocking everyone, and of course being able to go into the nice shops and ask for size 12!

Prestige is the best.

After years of talking and thinking about how I was "gunna" get fit, I was given a one month gift voucher by my wife to encourage me to at least make an attempt.

When I had my first appointment on 31.5.2001, I did little or no exercise, had a shocking fast food diet, skipped breakfast, couldn't run 100 metres without being puffed and the middle age spread was approaching.

With the help of
Prestige Personal Training, I am now not only training regularly at the studio, but am motivated to do a follow-up home exercise program as well. I have found my fitness and my recovery level, not to mention my strength, have improved dramatically to say the least. As a business owner, my work productivity and stress levels are also much better.

I now know that with the right diet and exercise program
I will always reach my goals to be fit and healthy and thanks must go to my wife for finding the great team that is Prestige Personal Training.

We enjoy personal training at Prestige mostly because it makes us more confident and better at all sorts of things. We learn how to run, throw and catch balls, and we're both much fitter.

We have the best time with our trainers and we really like getting involved and being active. They make us laugh and we have heaps of fun!

I know what it feels like to be very overweight and have suffered the stigma attached to it. One day I walked into a clothes shop and the assistant looked me up and down and said, "We don't have anything your size!". I was mortified, but thank goodness those days are now behind me and I can shop in any store and find clothes to fit.

I have gone from a size 22 down to size 12, but I have achieved so much more than just losing weight.

My life changed completely in two years and I now easily keep up with my 5 year old. I have a lot of time for everyone at
Prestige because they all supported and helped me when I needed it.

If you think you can't do it, you're wrong - show your trainer the will, and they will show you the way, just like they did for me.

Since May of 2004 I have been going to a weekly personal training session at Prestige PT. My main goal was to keep trim and tone up and work a little on my strength. Training has been a lot fun and being able to joke around with my trainer helps to take out some of the hard work. Not that she allows me to slack off, the opposite is usually the case, but exercising is fun and not a chore.

Last October, I decided to do the six week annual Boot Camp program and surprisingly I noticed more positive changes to my fitness even within this short space of time. Although Boot Camp was tough at times and demanding, especially the early morning sessions, the comraderie with other participants helped to keep everyone motivated.

One thing I have learned is that while exercising on a regular basis might be difficult in the beginning,
after a while it is my body that craves the natural high you get after doing physical activity and it becomes so much easier.

I would like to thank the Prestige PT team for the effort you have all done in training myself for my lifelong dream of competing and completing a marathon. When I arrived in Melbourne from Sydney in April 2004 I was unfit and overweight. Three months later I ran the Sandringham half marathon and then in October completed the 2004 Melbourne Marathon. Without your professional team of trainers this would not have been achievable. It would be unfair of me to single out certain trainers due to the nature of your personal training business. I believe the way its structured is the secret of your success and why clients keep coming back. You make training interesting and fun. By being around such a great bunch of both trainers and clients it makes me feel comfortable. Seeing fellow clients achieve their goals, inspired me to achieve mine - thankyou all once again.

Geoff took his goals one step further recently completing the gruelling Oxfam run - Congratulations Geoff!
